The Telugu version saw a better response compared to the Hindi one, and Tamil, Malayalam version as well. The Hindi version of KGF collected approximately around 2.5 cr at the box office on day one. KGF also saw most number of shows on its first day, with single screens running 5 - 6 shows in a day, with shows starting as early as 4AM! Multiplexes ran 8 - 14 shows, with some running up to 25 shows! This was in spite of Shahrukh Khan starrer Zero and Dhanush starrer Maari 2 releasing simultaneously. The film collected a record breaking ~12 cr on its first day at the Kannada Box Office. KGF was surrounded with huge hype in Karnataka and the box office collection on day 1 is the reflection of that fact. The movie got an amazingly huge response from the audience, and ran to packed houses all across Karnataka.
